Rest in Peace, Arthur the Giromon...

It is indeed with heavy heart, that I must report the passing of Arthur the Giromon. He was 19 years old, which is a full life for a Digimon. After a fairly busy day, I unpaused everybody and promptly fell asleep. When I got up, poor Arthur was gone. To commemorate his passing, here is one last sketch of his evolutions:

And finally, I have a little bonus! I got a couple of the cheap, knock-off Tamagotchi from China that I could use for the spare screws. I decided on a whim to give one of them a go and see how they were. I was actually surprised, because it actually functions a little better than the other ones I've used for spare screws. I only kept it on for a while, though. :P Anyway, that's all for tonight!

I decided that in lieu of our regular guys that something a little more "mobile" and hard-wearing would be appropriate. Unlike some of the other V-pets, I know for certain what I'm going for and what it will take to get there. Fortunately, getting to this point involved some care mistakes as a requirement, which was all too easy to do. ^^' But it is kind of fun having Penguinmon--we trained a lot once he reached child stage, and so as long as we don't have too many care mistakes from this point forward, we should be able to stay on track. :P

I will probably keep him running until at least Adult stage, but after that, Talon might get paused for a bit while we continue on with our regular lineup. Anyway, that's all for now!

So, since Chuck and Patty were of age, it seemed like the right time for the next generation to make their way into the world. Caught it on video for your viewing pleasure. :J I named the boy Lyman, after "lima bean" because his future evolution reminded me of a bean sprout. I named the girl Suzie for no real reason, though I did notice after I did that that her future evolution has little pigtails like Suzie from the third season of Digimon. ^^'

The similarity is uncanny. :P

Other than that, they were pretty quiet. Did call for attention even with their hearts full, though. (Setting a bad example for their kids!! 😡)

Ben changed too! He is now a Young Mametchi! We checked what was at the shop on Sunday, but there wasn’t anything too interesting. Today, though, we did find a treasure chest that ended up only having some BBQ in it. He enjoyed it but he wasn't as enthusiastic about it as the steak he had the other day. ^^'

Hey, all! Busy day at church, so I had to leave Chuck and Patty because they're a bit more needy and I'd be nervous about them resetting on me randomly, as they're prone to do. So Arthur and Ben came with me today, and while I was able to check on Ben, poor Arthur spent almost the entire time being neglected! I felt so bad! :( Poor old geezer. Fortunately for them, I have work off tomorrow so I hopefully will be able to keep a better eye on them while I'm working on things from home.

Finally, let’s welcome the new addition to our little group, Ben the Mizutamatchi! :P I started him up a while ago, so he only just turning into his child stage. He had a fairly active babyhood, as they all do. Had lots of sushi, scones, etc. and I played a few catch games with him, in which we got a decent amount of “gotchi points”. He’s asleep for now, but I’ll be trying to run him alongside the others. I edited together both his baby and child forms in the stats as an introduction. :J

Darth Giromon

First of all, I must share with you something I did to celebrate May the Fourth and Revenge of the Fifth:

It's Darth Giromon! :P Arthur dressed up as Darth Maul...because the idea wouldn't leave me alone until I drew it. ^^' Arthur seemed to like it though. :J

Anyhow, not really much to report today other than that, unfortunately.  Arthur, Chuck, and Patty had kind of a normal day, except that the poor things got neglected by me for a couple of hours this afternoon while I was doing other things. ^^’ But nobody ended up calling for attention over it, so all is well. :J Unfortunately, Arthur is 11 “years” old now, which is kind of old for a Digimon when you let it live out it’s natural lifespan. We’ll just have to see how much longer we can keep him around. I may start our new friend the Tamagotchi Connection V3 in the meantime because it’ll have a legitimate pause feature that we can utilize if necessary. Plus they’re a tad less needy. That, or I’ll go really low-maintenance and start up one of my Digimon Mini. We’ll just have to see. :P

I have a pair of Christmas tree-looking Tamas! :P Chuck and Patty evolved today, like I had expected. They were calling for me to discipline them like crazy, even though their meter was full, the stinkers. Then they got sick, and after I came back from dinner—presto! Some brand new Tama teens. I also got a Tamagotchi Connection V3 today! I’m anxious to start it up, but I want to wait until we finish our run with the Osutchi and Mesutchi, so it might be a little bit. As I said before, I’m thinking I would like to keep it to about 1-2 of both a Tamagotchi and a Digimon.

Speaking of Digimon, Arthur was pretty quiet today. I didn’t get to battle him like I’d hoped, but maybe later this weekend. Sorry Arthur. :/ I just hope he doesn’t decide to kick the bucket before we can have some fun together.

Centarumon digivolve to….Giromon! :P Arthur had a nice little surprise for us this morning. I honestly wasn’t sure if he would evolve since I know it’s better to battle during the child/rookie stage as well as the adult stage. I guess this proves that you can get away with just 15 battles at adult/champion stage.  

I didn’t get a chance to give him some exercise and do a round of battles, but I will try to do that tomorrow. Since he’s already 9 years old, I’m not sure how long he’ll be with us. These vintage guys don’t have a terribly long lifespan, but we’ll see how long he’s with us. Considering what I should run in his place. I'm thinking I'll try and consistently have one Tamagotchi and one Digimon running for the purposes of the blog. 

Chuck and Patty had most of the day to themselves, but they did need a lot of discipline, so their meters are now full. I fully expect they’ll be changing tomorrow. Short entry today, I’m afraid. Hopefully we’ll have more tomorrow!

Nothing too terribly exciting today with these guys. Had to pause Chuck and Patty again while I went to work this morning. After I took them out of pause mode, they were little stinkers and called for me when they didn’t need it. :P But it upped their discipline meter, so I’m just glad I caught it. Tomorrow they should get most of the day to run, though, so maybe we’ll see them change soon. 

Nothing much happening with Arthur, either, but I did have a moment at work and doodled his evolution line. I took a little more time after work and re-drew and colored the doodle. It’s not super stupendous, but it’s kind of fun to see it all in a lineup. Hmmm….maybe I’ll do a family tree-type thing for Bob and Mary’s posterity once I finish their run! :P

I added Giromon, his final stage, even though he hasn't yet reached that stage. Here's hoping!
